Puppies are a week old :)

What a crew we have. They love to talk when they eat... I have several that have already doubled their weight, and everyone else is getting close. We have given out several nick names so far to include; Snowflake, Carl, Turk, JD, Carla, Ted, Rococo(Cavan named this one, and he has become his favorite) and Ruby. I think that is it so far, we seem to come up with a new name a day so we will keep you posted. OG continues to be a great mom and all is going well. We hope to have some updated pictures and maybe some video this weekend. I will be happy when they are old enough to be left alone at night, I could not imagine having a baby at my age :) Luckily everyone at work has been very supportative, I go home at lunch to feed the 3 that still require supplements, and of course to feed Mom. Stay posted.

All Eating "move over I am coming in"

OG is being an incredible mom!!! We have to drag her out of the whelping box to go potty, and as soon as she is done she bee lines it back to the pups, she is cleaning them, and stays by their side. All pups are gaining weight, we were supplementing 8 yesterday and we are down to 5 this morning. Ella and Blue spend a lot of time with their noses to the door, OG is so happy to see them when she comes out to potty, like the proud mommy that she is. Keep posted for more pictures this week.

Puppies are Here :)

Our wonderful girl, gave birth to 14 puppies, without any complications. We have 10 boys and 4 girls, all are black, most have white Irish markings, their are 3 that are black with just a small amount of white. I hope to have pictures up tomorrow afternoon. Great JOB OG!!!!!

Week 8

OG had a bath this weekend and her tummy shaved in preparation to feed all those little ones. We went to the Vet yesterday, and we had 10 confirmed little heads in her tummy, but we are guessing we have more, and just could not see them all. Her poor little tummy is smashed all the forward. She has gained 14lbs, her milk is starting to come in, and we expect to see the little ones this weekend or early next week. We will post pictures of the puppies as soon as possible. Thank you to all who have sent in questionnaires. I will be making contact after the puppies are born to chat. We are getting so excited.

Tomorrow will be week 6, I can not believe how quickly it is going, and she is definitely pregnant. Her appetite has increased significantly and she is round all over! We are so excited about this litter we can't wait to see the little ones.
