The puppies are now one week old. Both mom and babies are doing great. OG again had 14 puppies, but it is with a heavy heart that I have to say we lost one on Monday to pneumonia. This was the hardest thing that has happened since I have started this wonderful journey and I will always think about little Gerald! We have 6 girls and 7 boys, as you can see they are all a beautiful brown, some have some white markings but most of these will become small once they have grown up. This is the most quite litter I have ever had, they only get loud when they want something, and then quite up very quickly, this has helped somewhat in getting a little more sleep, but I am up about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Don't think I could have another child at this age :) The whole family is pitching in, Cavan has been off of school and does puppy watch during the day and Athena is by my side at every weigh in. Chuck and Ryan help as much as they can, Chuck takes the early evening check in shift so that I can get some sleep before night time :) We are so blessed with all these beautiful babies!!!!

The Puppies Have Arrived :)

The puppies arrived on Dec 23rd, she started labor at 7pm and finished at 2. We have a beautiful litter of brown babies. Mom and babies are doing great.

Week 6

No x-ray needed, our girl is pregnant!!!!!!

We will still be doing the x-ray to get an idea of how many of the beautiful brown babies to expect. We are now taking questionnaires for placement of this wonderful litter. Tomorrow will be week 4 and OG is definitely showing signs of being pregnant. She is getting fussy about her food, and her shape is changing. We will be doing an x-ray around the 10th of December and at that time will begin taking questionnaires and deposits. Above are some pictures of OG and Axl, Axl is her son from her last litter, he lives in TX and we visited while we were there.

Everything is Bigger in TX

What a fabulous trip to TX!!! OG and Rocky just loved each other and it was a very successful breeding. I imagine beautiful brown babies will be arriving right around Christmas day. Stay tuned for some video of the two love birds playing together over the weekend.

Puppy Update

Well, unfortunately we did not have success with our AI attempts with Ella, but as one door closes another door opens. OG our brown bitch has gone into season and we are planning on breeding her with Rocky. This time we are taking a road trip and doing it the old fashion way. We are very excited about this breeding, and plan to do Ella and Rocky's breeding, the old fashion way as well, at Ella's next season. You can meet OG in our older posts, as well as see her pedigree and health certificates. Check out the posts starting from 11/08.

Ella was artificially inseminated by Rocky on the 24th and 26th of June. We are very excited about this upcoming litter. We should have confirmation of pregnancy in 3-4 weeks and will keep you all posted.

Turk Visits his Dad

Hi All, here is a picture of Turk and Zorro, they had great fun playing together and Zorro was more than willing to share his ball with his son. I hope this finds all of Turks brothers and sisters doing well. Thank you so much for the updates and pictures we love to receive them all, and will start to post them to the Blog.

We are gearing up for our next litter of puppies. Ella is being bred with a Brown Boy named "Rocky" CH Amigo's Love Me Tender, he lives in TX and we are doing IA. Today is the big day for the first round. I will keep you posted on the out come.

Getting ready to Fly

We have a lot of puppies going out of state, one of the future puppy owners came to visit this weekend, and brought the carrier for a test run, we tried several of the puppies including the biggest one, and all could stand and turn around. This one seemed to like it.

Puppies will be 8 weeks tomorrow :)

After a busy time getting their pictures taken, they are all exhasted and taking a snooze :) Nap time for ME!!!!!!!

The puppies are all getting big. They go to the Vet on Thursday for their first shots and check up. They had their first bath two weekends ago, and everyone did great, no one really fussed at all. We are hoping that the weather is warm and sunny this weekend so that we can get them in the pool for the first time. We have brought them out front to play and into our side yard. I have placed a kennel in their pen so that they are getting used to it and most sleep in it. I am hoping to put them in kennels at night by the end of the week.

Family update

Greetings all, first and foremost the puppies are doing great and I hope to have new pics up soon. They now spend their days on our porch in a big pen with a little tike's play cube with a slide and place to hide. They have all figured out how to go up and down the slide. I have been receiving lots of inquires and applications, please be patient with my return phone calls, I want to be able to call when I have plenty of time to talk and answer any questions. We have been very busy and have had an exciting few weeks with my HS Senior Son's Soccer Team. Attached is the video of the highlight of my son's soccer game last night, he is the one with the go-tee, his girlfriend finally got him to shave :). We head to LA tomorrow, we play the 2nd seed team and we are the 3rd seed team so it should be a great game. GO NORSEMEN!!!!!!!

Playing with toys... All the puppies love to play with the toys in their pen. They also like to wrestle with each other and try to get Blue to join in. OG has let Blue and Ella in the pen to be with the puppies, Blue likes to play and Ella likes to be the surrogate mother, she lies down and lets them try to nurse and keeps them very very clean.

All of their noses are turning black or have turned black, as well as their lips. They love to cruse around the pen, and wag their tails. You can scratch under their chin or tummy's and some kick their back legs, they come to you when you call them, and are very cuddly. They are becoming more fun every day. All are growing and majority are over 2lbs. We are going to plan a puppy open house in the coming weeks. I will keep you all posted when the date and time is set.

Puppy Home Comings

I will be having the puppies evaluated on Saturday April 4th, and the puppies will be available to go home anytime after April 4th. They will be 9 1/2 weeks old. I hope this helps in your planning your new babies homecoming. We have been handling the puppies everyday, they gets lots of snuggle time and play time. They are starting to play with each other as well. Everybody has a name....Scrubs Puppies=Turk, Carla, JD, Ted, Elliot; Psych Puppies=Sean and Gus; Misc names=Ginger, Clifford, Carls Jr., Rex, Ruby, Sammy and Rococo. You all will have the opportunity to change your puppies name, we just have a hard time calling them by a colored collar. We have not decided for sure on the Theme for all of the AKC names, they might be named after Led Zepplin Songs, but it is not in stone, we will keep you posted as soon as we make the final decision. Puppies Are Almost Two Weeks Old

Here are the puppies when they wake up and want to eat. As soon as they sound the alert, Mom is on her way to feed them, then they all go back to sleep. More than half have their eyes open, and the rest are beginning and should be open by tomorrow. They are starting to sit and cruse around the whelping box. Couple of more days and we will add some toys for them.

What a crew we have. They love to talk when they eat... I have several that have already doubled their weight, and everyone else is getting close. We have given out several nick names so far to include; Snowflake, Carl, Turk, JD, Carla, Ted, Rococo(Cavan named this one, and he has become his favorite) and Ruby. I think that is it so far, we seem to come up with a new name a day so we will keep you posted. OG continues to be a great mom and all is going well. We hope to have some updated pictures and maybe some video this weekend. I will be happy when they are old enough to be left alone at night, I could not imagine having a baby at my age :) Luckily everyone at work has been very supportative, I go home at lunch to feed the 3 that still require supplements, and of course to feed Mom. Stay posted.

OG is being an incredible mom!!! We have to drag her out of the whelping box to go potty, and as soon as she is done she bee lines it back to the pups, she is cleaning them, and stays by their side. All pups are gaining weight, we were supplementing 8 yesterday and we are down to 5 this morning. Ella and Blue spend a lot of time with their noses to the door, OG is so happy to see them when she comes out to potty, like the proud mommy that she is. Keep posted for more pictures this week.
